Frequently Asked Questions

About Us
What is a telehealth consultation?
Doctor Canna is a telehealth clinic, therefore we service our patients by a telehealth consultation. A telehealth consultation is a virtual medical appointment that allows you to connect with a healthcare professional remotely, using your phone. Benefits of Telehealth:
- Convenient & Time-Saving – No need to travel or wait in a clinic.
- Accessible – Ideal for those in remote areas or with mobility limitations.
- Private & Secure – Your medical information remains confidential.
- Continuity of Care – Easily follow up with your healthcare provider.
Do I need a referral to see a provider?
You won’t need a referral at any point with Doctor Canna. You can get started with us by completing our online pre-screening and then proceeding to the next steps.
Will my insurance cover my appointments or medication?
You will need to check this with your individual health insurance provider, before making a claim. While many private health insurers cover some or all of the costs, some major providers may not include alternative healthcare in their coverage.
Are there any age restrictions?
Currently, our clinic only serves adults, so you must be at least 18 years old to see a Doctor Canna practitioner.
What can I do if I’m not eligible through pre-screening?
If you’re deemed ineligible using our pre-screening, you can contact our team to discuss this further on 1300 372 262 (1300 DRCANA).
